We are missing live music and we know you are too. It’s too early to say whether live music events will be possible this summer. Check back here for updates.

Kids Music Festival - Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest

Kids' Music Adventure

Kids’ Music Adventure is the free, interactive kids’ portion of Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest. At Kids’ Music Adventure, kids of all ages can interact with real instruments, listen to live music performances, make their own instruments, and participate in a variety of other music workshops!

Find your inner music-maker! Try drums, bass, keyboard, ukulele and guitar, playing songs you know and love.

Rock out with some new friends! Join us to learn an instrument, play a song and then perform it on the Kids’ Music Adventure Stage. Classes Saturday and Sunday from 11:15 a.m.-noon and 3:45 – 4:30 p.m., with performances to follow at noon and 4:30 p.m. Ages 7-18 welcome. Sign up at the Modern Bandstand!

Come lay down some beats and try scratching DJ-style at the Beat-Makin’ Station with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Larimer County. Bring a friend and get your groove on!

Try your hand at a number of incredible instruments in the woodwind, string, percussion and brass tents, graciously provided by Boomer Music.

Experience interactives from the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery’s Music and Sound Lab like the Oscylinderscope, Build-A-Horn and handmade (plumbing!) pipe organ, as well as other great exhibits.

Create a musical souvenir! Make and decorate one-of-a-kind tambourines, rainsticks and more to take home and play.

Come explore the science of sound with the Little Shop of Physics team! At the “Sounds Like Science” station you can hear music inside your head, change your voice, make music with kitchen tools, listen to light and more.

Toddlers and preschoolers sing songs, dance and play instruments to explore sounds and create music. Join Foundation Music School at the Music Therapy tent for fun, engaging music intervention and interactive therapy sessions at 11:20 am and 3:20 pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Join Foundation Music School, a nonprofit community school of the arts, in music games galore for all ages!
