Over 70 Colorado Bands to Perform on Six Stages in Old Town Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Today, Bohemian Nights, LLC is pleased to announce the 2010 Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest full artist lineup.
Bohemian Nights will feature over 70 Colorado bands performing on six stages in Historic Downtown Fort Collins as part of the 22nd annual NewWestFest celebration (See Attached Full Line-Up http://www.bohemiannights.org/Music-Schedule-2010 ). The three-day Bohemian Nights music festival is free to the public and runs August 20-22. Music activities kick off Friday night on Linden Street starting at 6 pm with three great music performances and the evening culminating with Colorado’s very own Flobots. On Saturday and Sunday the performances will begin at 11am and will continue until the Bohemian Nights headliners perform. The seven-time Grammy® Award winner Earth, Wind & Fire will headline the Mountain Avenue main stage on Saturday night, August 21 at 8:30pm, and the Legendary Earl Scruggs with Family and Friends headlining on Sunday, August 22, at 5:45pm.
“This festival is our most exciting time of year,” Merry Hummell, of Bohemian Foundation said. “We can’t wait to showcase the impressive Colorado talent. The Flobots are the story of Colorado bands and the trajectory we would like to see for more Colorado bands. Having played Bohemian Nights in 2007 before they broke into the mainstream music scene, they are now returning as one of our headliners. Bohemian Nights is really about providing up and coming Colorado bands a platform to perform in front of bigger crowds, and have a musical experience unlike any other in the state.”
In addition to the incredible headlining performances, over 60 Colorado bands from around the state will perform during the three-day outdoor music extravaganza. Roughly a third of the performances are returning bands, including favorites like Angie Stevens and the Beautiful Wreck. The festival is also bringing in new performances to the lineup such as Fort Collins’ bands, Pep*Squad, Fierce Bad Rabbit and Denver’s Paper Bird.
“We are proud to have so many talented Colorado musicians perform at Bohemian Nights,” Hummell added. “We strive to offer a diverse lineup that provides the Fort Collins community with an eclectic collection of great music. Through Bohemian Nights we give festival participants a chance to hear bands they wouldn’t normally hear in this type of outdoor, community setting as well as showcasing what Fort Collins has to offer as a music community.”
