What's NEW at Bohemian Nights this year?
All Weekend:
The Mountain Avenue Stage will have three large LED video screens to help showcase all the main stage action! Two screens will be located at the stage and one behind the sound booth (about ½ way back from the stage). Anywhere on Mountain Avenue, festivalgoers can feel like they're in the front row.
Due to performer popularity, headliner shows tend to fill up quickly. Therefore at approximately 5:00 p.m. each evening the sidewalks on each side of Mountain Avenue Stage will be closed to foot traffic. After 5:00 p.m. the ONLY entrance into the Mountain Avenue Stage area will be at the Mountain Avenue and Mathews Street intersection. Once inside the Mountain Avenue Stage area, if you need to exit, you must exit to the west toward College and re-enter at Mountain and Mathews. (See festival map)
Don't miss the centralized merchandise tent, located on Walnut Street, open all weekend long! Fans may purchase Colorado band merchandise, meet the artists and win free prizes. Additionally, with the purchase of any Colorado band merchandise, (while supplies last and limited to one per customer), attendees will get a FREE stainless steel water bottle to fill at the new, free water stations located throughout the festival. Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest festival merchandise will be on sale as well.
Friday Night Kickoff:
Kicking off the weekend and starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, August 12, Bohemian Nights will host three bands: first, Colorado band and the 2011 International Blues Competition winner, Lionel Young Band, will hit the stage; followed by alt-rock band, Cracker; and ending the evening, the cool blues, hip hop and roots sounds of G. Love & Special Sauce will rock Downtown.
Also, on Friday night, don't miss the simulcast of the G. Love concert on the big screen at Linden Street. Come enjoy yourself at the Linden Street Lawn Chair Lounge and Block Party - your exclusive place to watch the show sitting down! Festivalgoers can bring a lawn chair and spread out to watch G. Love on the big screen. There will be food, cold beverages and fun giveaways! G. Love performs at 8:30 p.m. on the Mountain Avenue Stage; come early to get a good space on Linden Street.

We STRONGLY DISCOURAGE people from bringing pets to the festival. Crowded street and event space is common at the festival. Pets can easily get trampled, burn their feet, and/or get dehydrated, and some people are highly uncomfortable with other people’s beloved animals around them. This is Colorado - weather happens! Usually the festival continues even if it is raining. However if severe weather including the combination of rain, wind and/or lighting or hail occurs, we may have to delay or even cancel shows. Unfortunately, any of the music acts that are cancelled will not be rescheduled. Announcements will be made from the stages regarding any delays and/or cancellations related to weather and/or emergency evacuation procedures. In the event of severe weather, including lightning or hail, please seek appropriate shelter.
What if I need additional information or lose something?
Inside the festival will be two large, central information booths available to assist with lost-and-found items and festival information. They are located at the intersections of Oak and Mathews and at Mountain and Mathews. Main festival entryways and bike parking are located at Mountain and College, Oak and College, and Olive and Peterson. The Official Festival Guide, as well as the exclusive Music Program Guide, is available at all information booths.
Information Booth Lost-and-Found
The lost-and-founds located at the two main information booths are for items lost by festival attendees. Lost children should also be taken to one of the main information booths. After the festival, all lost-and-found items, (that are not children), left at the information booths will be taken to the DBA's office. The DBA will hold the items for a period of time. All calls about lost-and-found items should be directed to the DBA.

The Music Event Fund provides support for both community and/or fund raising events for nonprofit organizations within the Greater Fort Collins area. Sponsorship consideration is given to single and multi-day events that showcase nonprofit music organizations and/or local musical talent. By funding music related events, we hope to support meaningful relationship development and support between the public and the 501(c)(3) nonprofit music community. We are looking for events that support that promote the development and performance of diverse music expression and/or support events where music is the centerpiece or main focus of the event. Event Fund requests are accepted on an on-going basis, but not less than 90 days prior to the event date.
What is the average Music Event Fund award amount?
Awards range from $500 to a maximum of $5,000. Please keep in mind that the Bohemian Foundation prefers to contribute at a level similar to other community supporters and that awards in the higher ranges must provide compelling arguments as to why that level of support is warranted.
Do you provide event sponsorship for non-501(c)3 organizations?
No. The Music Event Fund applicants are required to be 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations.
Do I need to supply a new Music Event Fund application each year for my event?
Yes. The information is required each year as the process is competitive. Funding in one year does not guarantee funding in subsequent years and the application is regularly updated.
Is there a limit to the number of years an organization can apply for event sponsorship?
No. However, prior awards do not guarantee future funding.
Yes. However, be sure they are different requests. The Muse Fund and the Music Event Fund were designed to meet different organizational objectives.
Is there a deadline date for Music Event Fund consideration?
No. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis but not less than 90 days prior to the event date.
How soon will I receive notification of whether or not my organization will receive funding?
Award notification will occur within 30 days of receipt of a completed Music Event Fund Application, publicity memo and outline of sponsorship benefits. Please allow enough time for our processing to accommodate any publicity deadlines (i.e. brochures, flyers, etc.).
May we include the Bohemian Foundation logo in publicity efforts associated with your sponsorship?
If a Bohemian Foundation Logo is desired for printed materials one will be provided to the grantee with a written request to press@bohemianfoundation.org. For all logo requests please include size and file format needed.
Organizations are required to obtain Bohemian Foundation staff approval of any proposed publicity including but not limited to, test, signage, and applications related to Foundation recognition prior to release.
**Please allow 10 days** for Bohemian Foundation Staff to review and approve any proposed publicity.
Please note, no changes are allowed to the Foundation logo without prior written approval.
